GYC

OK, just a heads up this is going to be a long post.  With 3 cameras and an iPod taking pictures we have quite a few to share.  Sorry some of them aren't the best pictures the lighting was pretty bad most of the time.
We drove 1400 miles through the night and spent 23 hours in the suburban but I would do it again in a heart beat.  We were so incredibly blessed.  There were 8 of us in the suburban,  Daniel Hughes, Logan Rubbert, Esther Sund, Josiah Sund, Zack, and us 3 girls.

To some of you, seeing sky scrappers like this is an everyday occurrence but to us North Dakota kids it was all pretty amazing and a lot to take in when there were 6 roads stacked on top of each other.

We stayed at the Hilton witch was really nice because there were 2 sky walks over into the convention center.
The conference was in the George Brown Convention center.  It was a pretty good walk from one end to the other.
There were like 12 of us from our conference ( North and South Dakota ) down there.

This was so amazing to us.  This was at the top of our Hotel.  I was thinking when I was standing up there how amazing it looked and then I thought to myself.  This is amazing for man made, but when you think of what God made, this is equal to like a flower for complexity.  God's creations are so much more incredible.

The meetings were so incredible.  I was so blessed by each meeting.  with the theme being Fill me: our earnest plea, they centered around being filled with the Holy Spirit.  It was soooo good.

The meals were incredible.  When I heard they were only going to serve for a 1/2 hour I was like this could be bad.  But it was amazing how they had it set up.  They had 5,000 people fed in that amount of time.

Jody and I met these really sweet girls, their names were Kilory, and Nikki.  They were twins and 16 too, we had a lot in common
In the afternoons we had choices of like 15 different speakers that you could go to for their seminar.  David Assherick, Jeffery Rosario, Dwight Nelson, Doug Bachelor, Ron Clouzet, Iver Myers, and there were lots more.

This girl was my favorite speaker I think she was so good, she picked a short story of a Bible person and focused and went thought that story so good.  I was really blessed by her early morning meetings.

Jody, Matthew Marsh, Andrew Marsh, and I.
I have known these guys all my life but I feel like I really got to know them this last week.  They are great guys, so much fun!
On Friday we went on outreach.  I got to go with Matthew and we were truly blessed!  I recommend this to anyone.  You might think that I'm too shy but I'm telling you from experience that the Holy Spirit works and this whole new boldness comes over you and the Holy Spirits works through you.

Here are some statistics
We loaded 57 buses
More than 2,750 people went on outreach
there were 23,636 doors knocked on
over 300 people walked the streets of Houston Texas talking to people
9,346 Bible study cards were handed out
we got 2,225 cards back right away requesting Bible studies
We handed out 30,000 Glow tracts
And we prayed with 2,300 people

There was 3 levels in the convention center.

Saturday night there was a huge party going on outside.  Their music was really loud and the environment wasn't a good one.  But inside as many people as wanted to could come to the ballroom in the Hilton and we would welcome in the new year with praying.  I was so blessed!  We broke up into groups of like 8 or 10 and we prayed from 11:00p.m. to 12:00 a.m.  We prayed and sang in the new year and recommitted our lives to God.

It was so cool when we came out of the ballroom there was a little lobby with a grand piano in it and there was a ton of people all gathered around the piano and we sang.  It was incredible!  The roof almost lifted up.  Everyone was recording with their iPads or whatever else anyone had.
In the prayer serves before we started they gave you time to tell a story or testimony if you wanted to.  So Logan went up and told the story of how the Lord worked it out for us to get to GYC.  How there were so many obstacles that the devil tried to use to keep us from going, but God worked it all out to His glory.
GYC was amazing and I recommend it to anyone that wants to receive a blessing.  Next year it is in Seattle Washington, and the theme is ......
But the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your rememberance all that I had said to you.
John 14:26

Leaving for GYC

Today Jody, Janae, and I are all leaving for GYC (Generation of Youth for Christ)!  Last year at this time Tabby and 3 friends were in Baltimore, Maryland for this same youth conference.

GYC is a youth conference for Adventist youth all over North America and all over the world.  There are 5 days of seminars, classes, group activity's, and fellowship.  The theme this year is FILL ME, OUR EARNEST PLEA!
It's being held in Houston, Texas this year.  We would appreciate all your prayers for safe travels.  We are leaving with a suburban load of 8 kids from the Dakotas today. ( Mindy, Jody, Janae, Esther, Josiah, Logan, Zack, and Daniel)
There are going to be 4,500 to 5,000 youth from 13 to 35 years old.  We are all really excited to receive a blessing!
For where two or three come together in My name, there am I with them.  Matthew 18:20

Flemmer Christmas

Last night we had our Flemmer family get together.  It was lots of fun even though 7 random family members weren't able to make it.  We had lots of fun spending time together, eating special Holiday food, playing games and singing together.

We had sun down worship together to start the evening.
Each of the Flemmer siblings brought something to add to the evening.
Tami went first and she read her little story.  But when she was done she turned her computer around and who was there?  Tabby was there and we video skyped with her for quite a while.  It was a lot of fun.  She got passed around the whole circle and everyone said hi!

It was so cute!  Savanah and Leyton acted out the Christmas story.
We had a big burrito supper.
Not to mention all the Christmas treats!

There were all kinds of games going on all around the house.
Then when we were all leaving we sang some good old songs together to say good bye.

It was so much fun spending time with family.
For God so loved the world that he gave His only son.  John 3:16

P.S. To all the family who couldn't make it we missed you.
